Lisa Hendey extends a warm invitation to attend the upcoming Catholic Mom Lenten Day of Reflection on April 2, 2022.

Last weekend, I was in Anaheim for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ annual Religious Education Congress. For as long as I can remember, Congress has been a bright spot in my year: a chance to gather with friends and colleagues from around the country, to catch up, and to be renewed. This year, while it was a much smaller gathering, Congress signals hope for a new path forward as we emerge into what will be our “new normal.” Every hug and handshake was a reminder of how much I have missed and truly long for human connection. Technology is a great gift that has enabled us to bridge the gaps the pandemic forced upon us. But nothing beats being together in real life.

To that end, I wanted to announce an opportunity for our friends from CatholicMom.com to gather with us for a quickly planned Lenten retreat. For those living nearby, please consider joining us for a day at our wonderful headquarters in North Easton, MA. Truly, this is a sacred place! Along with Lenten talks by Fr. Willy Raymond, the President of Holy Cross Family Ministries; our own Allison Gingras and me, you'll have the opportunity to join us for Mass and Rosary and a meal. You might want to leave extra time to make a short walking pilgrimage to the burial site of Venerable Father Patrick Peyton, our Founder. I can't wait to do that!

Since we know many of you cannot be with us in person, we are offering a virtual retreat as well. We invite you, but also ask you to consider sharing this special day with your friends, fellow parishioners, or family members. Those who attend virtually will not only be listening in but will also have the optional chance to be part of small group fellowship through the miracle of technology!

I’ll include the details below, which come from my dear friend and our Catholic Mom Brand Manager Danielle Bean. If you can’t make it in person, please plan to join us online for what promises to be a lovely day of prayer and friendship!
