VIDEO: Ellen Mongan Interviews Rachel Balducci about her new book, No Such Thing as Ordinary.

Do you have a girlfriend you can sit down with and pour some tea while simultaneously pouring out your heart to each other? Rachel Balducci has invited you to sit down with her new book, No Such Thing as Ordinary: maybe even sip some tea as you read. Let her words, inspired by the Holy Spirit, sink into your soul. As you read about Rachel’s journey toward the heart of God, you will embark on your own journey. You may not even realize her words' impact on you until you close the book for the final time. Rachel’s book has a way of making you feel she is that girlfriend sipping tea next to you.

No Such Thing as Ordinary

Everyone wears a mask or two; maybe it is because they think, “If you really knew me, you would not like me.” God has a way of taking off our masks one mask at a time. He begins to reveal who we really are in the intimacy of prayer. We become authentic more and more each day. Once changed, He uses us to draw others to Him.

As you read the pages in her newest book, Rachel gets real! She allows God to take her masks off. Jesus helped her to unlock her extraordinary life through everyday encounters with Him. Then God gave Rachel a voice to tell others how to do the same.

How does one become real? It is only through God’s love. Encountering God helps us to become whole and then gives us a desire to become holy. Many Christians have tried to do it the other way around and failed. Try as they might, their hearts are still broken. God, who is near to the broken hearted is the only one who can truly heal our hearts. No one can do it on their own strength.

See if you can find the hidden treasure that God has placed in each chapter for you. As your guide, Rachel leads the way by sharing her personal experiences. The chapters are short and easy to read yet, deeply profound. You may be tempted to read this one hundred twelve-page book in one sitting. Take time instead to pause, contemplate, and implement the message into your own life. A chapter a day followed by a heart-to-heart talk with Jesus would be ideal.

Rachel brilliantly uses the Scripture story of the woman at the well throughout each chapter. We are all that woman at the well. We are all sinners in need of a Savior. Let God fill you with The living water that only He can give.

Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again; but whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John 4:13-14)

God alone can fill those holes in our hearts. Just like the woman at the well, God knows you and loves you.

Are you dissatisfied with your life and believe there is more for you? Are you thirsting for more of what God has for you? Allow God to fill you with living water. Read the book and savor the message. Let God begin a miracle in your heart. He will if you will let Him. He is waiting for is you. What are you waiting for? Get the book, and let the journey begin!

I almost forgot. Who is this book for? It is for all who are spiritually and emotionally thirsty. It is for all who desire to be filled with God’s living water and His everlasting love. I can tell you firsthand that this book is not just for women. My husband and I just finished reading it together aloud, reading a chapter a day, then talked and prayed. What did we discover? We discovered that there is no such thing as ordinary.
