Today's Gospel: John 14:1-6 Thomas said to Him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” - John 14:5 When I was about eight years old, I was camping with my family in the mountains with a couple of other families we knew from our town. There were lots of trails to explore and I was allowed to tag along with some of the older children. At some point, they ran off without me. I tried to find my way back to the campsite, but it didn’t take long to realize that I was lost. I was scared, but had camped with my family at state parks a few times. I knew there would be rangers somewhere who could help me find my way. So I stayed on the main road and walked for what seemed like miles until finally, I found the ranger station. Soon I was back at my campsite, surrounded by family, safe and sound. At the Last Supper, Jesus tells His disciples, and us, that He is going to prepare a place for us. And He tells us that we already know the way. We know the way because we know Jesus. And Jesus is the way. We need not fear getting lost, because we are not alone. We know Jesus will never abandon us. We may not know exactly when or how the help will come, but we do know the road we need to follow. Jesus is the way.

Ponder:

Have there been times when I have felt lost or alone? Who or what helped me find my way to Jesus?

Pray:

Jesus, thank You for helping me find my way to You. May I never get lost or stray from Your path.
