Today's Gospel: Luke 11:37-41
I had just finished saying something not-so-nice to one of my kids, at a rather high volume, when the phone rang and I had to answer it.
Suddenly, I was a different person.
And I could feel the disparity between the totally calm voice I was using and the loud, frazzled voice I had just been using.
There are many times my kids see the “real” me.
And, reading today’s Gospel, I can’t help but do some serious self-evaluation. Is the person they know the same person the rest of the world knows?
If the answer isn’t a resounding yes (hint: it’s not), then what do I need to change? How can I make the Sarah-at-home more like the Sarah-God-wants-me-to-be?
