Today's Gospel: Matthew 9:1-8
"And there people brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith..."
As Catholic women, wives, and mothers, we have the opportunity to bring someone to Jesus every day. The way we conduct our Christian lives in front of others can help us bring people to Jesus. As wives, we help nurture and grow in faith with our husbands. As moms, we bring our babies and children to Jesus at home and at church. When our kids turn into teens and young adults we still bring them -- sometimes complaining and protesting, but we still bring them.
The gospel today reminds us that Jesus saw the faith of the people who brought the paralytic to Him. So when our husband resists church or going to confession, kids skip mass or balk at doing family devotions, Jesus still sees our faith. By being faithful in our duties of witnessing Christ in the workplace and in our homes, our faith stands out to Jesus. We just need to be faithful to that.
