Discover how Jesus's teachings guide us to freedom and joy through daily acts of faith and consistency in today's Gospel reflection by Father Pinto Paul.

Today's Gospel: Matthew 5:17-19

“I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.”
It’s easy to hear “rules” and think “restrictions.” But Jesus reminds us that God’s laws aren’t meant to limit us—they’re meant to lead us into freedom and love.

In a world that often dismisses faith as a list of “noes,” our children are watching how we live. They learn what faith truly means not from what we say, but from what we do. When they see us pray, choose honesty, offer forgiveness, or serve others, they begin to understand: God’s commandments are a path to joy, not a burden.

You don’t have to be a perfect family—just a faithful one. Every small effort matters. Gathering for prayer, attending Mass together, talking about faith at dinner, modeling kindness—these moments plant seeds that God will nourish in His time.

Ponder:

How can I model joyful obedience for my children this week?

Pray:

Jesus, help me to live my faith with consistency and joy. Let my children see Your love reflected in my choices.

Pray Together:

Pick one commandment to focus on this week (e.g., kindness, honesty). Discuss practical ways to live it out and share how you saw God at work.
