Join us as we reflect, ponder, and pray together inspired by today's Gospel.

Today's Gospel: Luke 1:26-38

Some call God a gentleman because He does not force Himself on us but awaits our yes. Mary gives the ultimate yes today in giving up her will and her life so that we, her children, could have eternal life through her Divine Son.

Let’s try to notice the little yeses that God asks of us today as we unite our will with God’s so that it may reign in our souls as it reigns in Mary’s. Are we interrupted in the middle of a project? “Yes, Lord.” Did we learn of a friend’s diagnosis? “Yes, Lord.” Did our favorite serving dish come crashing to smithereens? “Yes, Lord.”

Our Gentleman Friend will find ways during the day to remind us that nothing is as important as our friendship with Him; that He is in charge of everyone and everything. Saying yes to Him in little and big ways showers us with benefits that the world cannot give and the world cannot take away.

Ponder:

Looking ahead to my day, what can I ask Jesus to help me say yes to?

Pray:

Dear Lord, I unite my yes with that of Mary today so that I can help bring the Kingdom of God to earth for the glory of God and the salvation of souls, especially those closest to me.
