Join us as we reflect, ponder, and pray together inspired by today's Gospel.

Today's Gospel: Luke 12:54-59

The Pharisees have been baiting Jesus for a while now, hoping to trap Him into incriminating Himself. Even the disciples, who follow Jesus everywhere, don't seem to get it.

And Jesus has had enough. He basically asks them, "Why don't you see what's right in front of you?"

He accuses the crowds of being able to interpret the weather, but not to see what (and Who) is right in front of them.

We might think that in their place, we'd have known that Jesus was the Son of God, come to save us all. But are we any better than the Pharisees, crowds, and disciples at seeing what's right in front of us?

Ponder:

What is keeping me from having the confident vision to recognize the presence of Christ?

Pray:

Lord, help me to see today what You want me to see. Increase my understanding of Your love and my willingness to follow You.
