I'm sending prayers out and asking you to please continue to do the same for the repose of the soul of Catholic author and speaker Michael Dubruiel and especially for his wife Amy and their children. Amy has bravely met the challenge of arranging for and speaking at Michael's funeral, which was concelebrated yesterday by 25 priests and three bishops. Michael will continue to touch lives and help souls through the books and columns he left behind. I'm a better Catholic and person for having enjoyed and studied his work.
Amy has blogged about her gratitude for all who were with her physically and spiritually during this experience at her blog, but I want to send her a big thank you for so bravely sharing this with her readers. I don't know how I would deal with such loss, but I doubt seriously I could be anywhere near as gracious and faith filled as Amy has been. It's truly a testiment to her own faith and to her love for Michael that she has been able to share this experience with those who admire both of them so much.
Prayers continue, and I'd ask yours too for Amy, the kids and especially for Michael Dubruiel.
