This book not only made priests and religious sisters seem like regular people, it made their *families* seem normal, too. Lloyd did what she does so best: highlight the remarkable in ways that make it approachable. Truly, one of the best books I've read this year and certainly a book you should read. (They all looked good.) And who should arrive in my box but my old friend St. Anthony of Padua, who I've adopted as a lifetime patron and good buddy and pal. (In other words, we talk a LOT.) So far, this is historical fiction at its best, and I expect I'll finish it over the weekend.
