Editor’s Note: We’re continuing our journey through the rosary with Jesus as our guide.

Just checking in on how everyone’s journey towards humility has been going.  I admit there have been moments when I lacked humility.  To help me stay on track I look back on my commitment towards imitating Mary and am still striving towards that goal.

Visitation

As we continue on this journey through the year we move on to the second Joyful Mystery of The Visitation. “Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and cried out in a loud voice: "Blest are you among women and blest is the fruit of your womb." (Luke 1:41-42)

The Fruit of this Mystery is Love of Neighbor.

Mary’s love of neighbor is beautifully illustrated when she sets aside her own worries and concerns to go help Elizabeth through the end of her pregnancy.

Mary always guides us to be a better person. I look to Mary as an example of how to love my neighbors. There are times when our neighbors need us; when their needs are greater than our own.

We are called to love our neighbors.  We can do this by helping feed the hungry, donate clothing to a homeless shelter or even something as simple as mowing the lawn for our elderly neighbor or a single working mom.  The opportunities to love our neighbor are endless.

I ask each of you to continue sharing this journey of Jesus’ Guide to the New Year through the Rosary by finding ways to love our neighbors.  Looking forward to hearing about your journeys toward the New Year through the Rosary.
