I've been blogging for many years, and I have found one truth to be self-evident: I can only maintain one blog. That is not true for everyone, though, and today's Catholic Blogger, none other than our very own Monica McConkey, maintains THREE blogs: Equipping Catholic Families, Catholic Bloggers Network, and i blog Jesus.

She's passionate about giving Catholic families tools, gifts, and help, and that's the basis for Arma Dei, her family's publishing company. She also writes for Seton Magazine, Upside Down Homeschooling, and here at CatholicMom.com.

And did I mention that she's the official Catholic Blogger for St Gemma’s Catholic Pilgrimages and that she's going to Rome in September 2014? Yeah. There's that.

Bet you're wondering how she does it all. Me too. Let's dive in!

Tell us about your blog in five words or less.

Catholic crafts, traditions, and family life.

Why did you start blogging?

I have always enjoyed finding FUN ways to pass along the Catholic Faith, through crafts and activities and family traditions.  It’s fun to share the ideas I have come up with and blogging helps to justify the amount of time I put into these things.

Why do you keep blogging? What's your inspiration to continue?

I love how rich our Catholic Faith is! I think that there are so many opportunities to delve in deeper, celebrating our Sacramental Life, all the festivities within the Liturgical Calendar and developing a more personal relationship with Jesus.

When you think of the New Evangelization as a Catholic blogger, what excites you? What makes you want to continue?

I love discovering other Catholic blogs and appreciating the talents and innovation of other Catholics sharing their Faith in their families, their communities and online.  I feel like there are endless opportunities to pass along our Faith in fun ways …and love for Jesus and the Saints and our rich traditions …is contagious!

What's the most rewarding aspect of your blogging?

As a stay-at-home mom of five kids, there is no shortage of cooking, cleaning or laundry, but I realize that sometimes I just have to MAKE something. I squeeze in crafts with recycled objects or I sneak Catholic program into the activities that my kids already like to do, often with printables I make available online. These little creations last, especially when documented and shared! In addition to trying these out with my kids, I love the response of other Catholic moms out there, excited to try out my crafts within their families or Church group!

In your spare time, what are we likely to find you doing?

Painting little wooden saints, collecting egg cartons or frozen juice lids for another craft or watching movies with my family. My husband also makes a rink and a luge run in our back yard, so there is plenty of fun at our house!
