Today's Gospel: Mark 1:40-45
Today we get to reflect on the Gospel where Jesus cleanses the leper. This is such a touching Scripture. Jesus illustrates his compassion towards others, even those that were cast aside by society. Jesus’ compassion reminds me that I, too, should approach each person and situation with compassion.
Although I know I cannot heal a leper, by allowing Christ to be seen through my actions, I can touch the lives of others, help make life a little easier, offer comforting words, or help ease pain in some way.
Ponder:
How can I follow Christ’s footsteps and touch the lives of others? How can I offer assistance to those in need? How can Christ be seen in me through my actions?
Pray:
Dear Lord, please help guide me and fill my heart with your love and compassion so that I may reach out to those in need, as you did to the leper.
