"A Plan to Proclaim God's Marvelous Deeds in 2017" by Pam Spano (CatholicMom.com) Copyright 2017 Pam Spano. All rights reserved.

We are now four weeks into the new year. Have your resolutions held up? Have you already given up or are you smugly keeping up all the things that you promised yourself and laughing at the rest of us?

[Tweet "Have your spiritual resolutions held up? @CatholicReally checks in."]

I'm sort of in the smug and laughing category. I say sort of, because some things that I had carefully planned, fell through. Back in November, I made a plan for 2017. I'm enjoying the Catholic Planner that I purchased. Now I have a plan for prayer and new goals that I never contemplated before.

One of my inspirations is Melanie Rigney. Like Melanie, I had a completely different plan for my life and here I am over thirty years later, a convert to the Catholic church, writing about my faith. One of my friends who knew me "back in the day" will tell you how hilarious my being at this point of my life is.

This is a good thing. Whatever plan I had as a young woman, doesn't even come close to what I'm experiencing now. I have faith, a marriage and children that would not have existed had I followed any half-baked goal of mine.

Though my children are grown, I purchased The Catholic Mom's Prayer Companion:  A Book of Daily Reflections and I will be participating in the St. Teresa's Online Book Club on Facebook. I'm looking forward to "meeting" and discussing my faith with other moms. (Please join us - it's never too late!)

Reading today's Psalm tells me to get out there and "proclaim God's marvelous deeds." That coincides with my wanting to write more in 2017.

But I want more. I want fresh ideas to experience faith and spiritual adventures! What are you doing in 2017? I want to hear from you:

What are your goals this year? What plan do you have to grow in faith? Are you doing anything different? Or are you sticking to a well-used plan that works for you? Do you blog? Please share your link!
