Join us as we reflect, ponder, and pray together inspired by today's Gospel.

Today's Gospel: Luke 21:20-28

Sometimes we are struck with fear at what our future may hold--for a child with disabilities, a spouse long suffering through an illness, our own intractable pain.

There may be times when everything in our personal life is in disarray, shaking us to our core, and we feel like an overwhelming wave is about to overtake us. We know what is at hand and recognize our frailty to manage through the oncoming storm.

It is then that we may either feel our faith begin to falter, or we surrender to God what is God’s, our soul surrounded by all of life's challenges and beauty.

We stand in our faith with hearts turned towards heaven, with hope to remain secure in God’s love through all the unfortunate circumstances life can bring.

Ponder:

Can you name your greatest fear? How can you put this into words to openly speak to Our Lord and ask for courage?

Pray:

Heavenly Father, when I see personal destruction before me, grant me the courage to face my fears with You at my side. Grant me calm in the overwhelming storm, peace in the wilderness.
