Join us as we reflect, ponder, and pray together inspired by today's Gospel.

Today's Gospel: John 16:29-33

Peace and courage are the gifts of today’s Gospel. Jesus is inviting us into a relationship with His Father, which is a beautiful place to be. Jesus was excited about how the disciples expressed joy in their faith and belief. It can only benefit us to react in the same way.

Blessings come in all shapes and sizes, requiring us to express our gratitude. Jesus wants us to share how those blessings make us feel, just as He wanted the disciples to share when their grief turned to joy. Talk to Jesus about fears and ask for faith, understanding that you will overcome all of them by His power.

Once the disciples knew that Jesus came from God, their spirits were renewed with faith and courage. In the same way, when we express stories of God’s grace in our lives, the person listening has the chance of being renewed in God’s love. Have you ever experienced something you knew was a blessing from God and held back on sharing with those around you? Be a courageous disciple of Jesus and do it; tell the world of your gift.

Ponder:

Can I pray boldly and with courage? Jesus calls me to have faith enough to share the good news with others. Is this something I can do wholeheartedly?

Pray:

Loving God, I know that I am never alone and that You are always with me. Please strengthen my relationship and walk with Jesus so that courage outweighs any fear.
